Main description
Domino’s Digital Printing Solutions division serves the commercial printing sector providing digital inkjet printers and control systems, which deliver solutions for a complete range of labelling and variable data printing applications. There is an exciting opportunity for two engineering apprentice to join their team.
Day to day duties include:
Turning, Milling, CNC Programming, Fitting & knowledge of other Manufacturing processes
Soldering & knowledge of other joining processes
Basic Sheet Metal Fabrication – Folding, Shearing, Forming
Interpreting & Creation of Engineering Drawings using 3D CAD packages
Basic Electrical & Electronic practical skills
Measurement & Inspection techniques using a range of metrology equipment
Entry requirements
5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above including English, Maths & Science
Skills required
Must be able to multi-skill, be hardworking and have attention to detail
Will have practical and problem-solving skills
Will have good communication skills
Any previous experience in using CAD software would be an advantage however isn’t necessary
Will have very good maths skills
Personal qualities
Enjoy being ‘Hands On’
Are hardworking & committed to both their education & job

Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship
Things to consider
The Domino Apprentice scheme is designed to give apprentices a holistic overview of the Domino R&D and to place the apprentice in a role that matches them & the business, this is done with a number of placements in different areas. On completion the candidate will be a R&D Technician.

Future Prospects
On completion of the Apprentice Pathway to Technician, it could lead to a further offer of an Degree Path apprenticeship programme which leads to a Graduate Engineer role.
