About the employer
The World’s leading supplier of split roller bearings which is part of SKF, the World’s largest bearing company with circa 45,000 employees.

Location will be King’s Lynn for the duration of the apprenticeship.


Working week
Monday to Thursday 8 hrs, Friday 5 hrs - total of 37 hrs per week, 25 days holiday per annum Times – 1st year 08:00 to 16:30 at workplace College day and time to be confirmed. Total hours per week: 37.00

Desired qualifications
5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or higher with at least 2 at Grade 5/C+ or higher, subjects should include Maths, English and a Science or technical subject.


Training will initially be in a dedicated apprentice workshop for the first year.

First year will include Manual and CNC Turning, Manual and CNC Milling, Grinding and Bench fitting.

Second year onwards will be multiple placements in the various manufacturing departments around the factory, gaining the knowledge and experiences required to complete the apprenticeship and become a valuable employee within the company.

Day release to college, term time only, for the length of the apprenticeship.

The main contact throughout the apprenticeship will be the Apprentice Supervisor and dedicated Apprentice Advisor and Commercial Trainer based at the College of West Anglia.
