About the employer
The owner and trainer, Okke Krol, completed his training to become a qualified dressage instructor in the Netherlands.
In 2006, after working for 2 stables in the Netherlands, Okke decided to move to Great Britian to work and train for 3 years with Mette and Michel Assouline who both have represented their countries at international level.
In 2008 Okke won the national Petplan championships at Prix St George.
In June 2009 Okke started his own dressage and training yard Dutch Dressage.
Dutch dressage offers full livery, training livery, sales and competition livery. The family run business is maintained by the owners Okke Krol, Antje Krol and Lieuwe Krol. Antje has completed her instructors qualification in the Netherlands, where she offered lessons at her own livery yard with Lieuwe.
Our premises offers the following under the same roof:
15 stables
A 6 horse walker
2 washdown areas
1 solarium area (coming soon!)
A large tack room
A large storage room to house hay, and shavings
A feed room
A rug room
Other facilities include:
An all-weather 20x60 arena with floodlights
10 acres of individually fenced turnout paddocks
A large concrete car park for horseboxes and cars in the front of the barn


Working week
40 hrs p.w. days/times tbc. Total hours per week: 40.00
Expected duration
18 months


Full time position to report to yard manager. Working 5 days per week, weekends included.

Main responsibilities are:

  • General yard work
  • Turn out and bring in horses
  • Grooming
  • Cleaning tack
  • Provide horse healthcare
  • Exercise horses
  • Must be happy to work with fit competition horses
