Looking to start a rewarding career in ICT?  We have a full-time entry level opportunity for an ICT Student ServiceDesk Technician to join our team at our brand-new Norwich office.

About the team

Our ICT ServiceDesk is the first point of contact for ICT issues. As part of the ICT team, we can provide a varied role encompassing ServiceDesk, Cyber Security, data analysis, infrastructure and cloud. This offers a stimulating and varied portfolio of work where you will be diagnosing and resolving users’ software and hardware issues, whilst gaining valuable experience in many other aspects of ICT.

About the role

You will become a first point of contact on the ICT ServiceDesk. Core responsibilities will include:

·                  Answering telephone calls and reviewing initial requests for help

·                  Ensuring information is provided for all tickets about who is experiencing the issue and what the issue, impact and priority is

·                  Trying to resolve tickets where possible by following standard operating procedures

·                  Delivering training on ICT systems and software including ICT inductions to new starters

·                  Performing daily checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly

·                  Taking responsibility for specific day to day processes

Training & Development

You will follow formal training through an apprenticeship framework for the Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification. We require you to have a minimum of 3 A levels at Grade C or above OR demonstrate the equivalent standard in a business or ICT related vocational qualification. We also require a minimum attainment of Grade 5 in GCSE English AND either Computer Science, ICT, Maths or Science.  Once you have successfully completed the Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, you may go on to continue your studies.

·                  A driving licence and access to own transport would be helpful
