As part of Women in Engineering day 2021, Sizewell C would like to invite you to virtually meet some top female engineers and scientists that work on the project. Sizewell C is the new nuclear power station planned for the UK and would help tackle climate change by delivering low carbon electricity to 6million homes and save 9m tonnes of Co2 every year compared to a gas station.
Britain needs to reach Net Zero by 2050 to do our bit to stop climate change. We need to build more renewable and nuclear power generation to help achieve this.
Mark International Women in Engineering Day with some of the awesome women working in nuclear power today, who knows maybe there could be an interesting future for you to develop your green skills within the industry.
Students attending this insight session will get to meet some of the female engineers working on Sizewell C and learn about their role in tackling climate change.
You will also get a guided tour of the virtual construction site with one of the female Virtual Reality Developers working for one of our partner companies 3D WebTech.
CRITERIA - Students in the East of England are eligible to apply for this opportunity.
This includes Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Herts, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
Open to FEMALE students only
SESSION TIMING - The session will run from 10am until midday.
