A family run IT business, providing IT support and consultancy services mainly in the educational sector to primary schools, PRU's and Multi Academy Trusts, along with businesses and private homes within East Anglia. Along with on site IT support, we also provide additional services, including broadband & filtering, websites and telephone systems.
They have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join the team located at Priory School.
The apprentice will support the day to day running of the IT network and infrastructure on site within a school setting.
Duties include:
Network maintenance including Server, Communications equipment, Backups, diagnostics, auditing and reporting.
Maintenance, installation and repair of equipment including and not limited to PC's, Laptops, Mobile Devices
Maintenance, installation and repair of peripheral equipment including and not limited to printers, interactive whiteboards, AV equipment.
Maintenance, installation and configuration of software both bespoke and standard.
Audit and inventory of both hardware and software.
Communicating daily, translating customers requirements into business delivery, ensuring understanding and agreement of the service provided.
Entry requirements
Essential:
Applicants should ideally hold grade 9 – 4 (A* - C) in GCSE (or Functional Skills Equivalents) English, Maths and Science or Tech based subject.
Desirable:
GCSE or BTEC in IT

Experience in a wide range of hardware, software and peripherals.
Experience of and ability to demonstrate work in a customer focused environment
Ability to work independently and responsibly
Ability to communicate with internal and external clients
Clean and presentable appearance and adherence to the Company's dress code.

Things to consider
The role will involve working independently for long periods of time and dealing with a wide range of requests from customers. This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure & barring service check. This position is term time only.
What Next?
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent role of IT Field Technician.
