Center Parcs is a short-term holiday company with centres in various countries around Europe and the UK. 

The Center Parcs concept is to provide short breaks in the forest, bringing families together and back to nature with high quality accommodation, a range of outstanding leisure facilities and more than 200 indoor and outdoor activities, all set within a protected and enhanced woodland environment. Center Parcs operates five villages in the UK: Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire; Elveden Forest in Suffolk; Longleat Forest in Wiltshire; Whinfell Forest in Cumbria and Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire. Operating in County Longford, Ireland, is our newest village Longford Forest, the first outside of the UK.

Each village is set within around 400 acres of natural woodland, with trees, streams and wildlife surrounding apartment and lodge accommodation. At the heart of each village is the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, an extensive range of restaurants, cafés and retail outlets, as well as the Aqua Sana Spa.

SPORTS

QUALIFIED AND TRAINEE LIFEGUARDS | £9.66 per hour rising to £10.63 per hour once qualified

A Lifeguard is the main point of contact for our guests in the Subtropical swimming Paradise. You will demonstrate just the right mix of welcoming our guests in a positive, friendly manner and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety necessary in the pool environment. As the face of Center Parcs you will make a great lasting impression on our guests, impressing them with your professionalism and guest care skills.

You will be a friendly, naturally helpful and vigilant team member who naturally seeks out opportunities to ensure the guests' requirements are met. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards within the Subtropical Swimming Paradise and ensure that all company and legal requirements are met at all times.

As part of the interview process, candidates are required to complete a swim test.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) with Child List Barring Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

Essential requirements:

Candidates will be required to successfully complete a swim test in order to progress to interview
RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification – for qualified lifeguards

Desirable requirements:

The ideal candidate will be qualified or have experience of the following:-

First Aid Certificate
Experience in Pool Plant Operation
Use of a Defibrillator

LEISURE

CHILDCARE PRACTITIONER | £10.63 per hour

Our Activity Den is incredibly popular with guests and their children, and you’ll help to create a brilliant, fun-filled and stimulating environment, ensuring the children have a good time at all times, whilst keeping an eye on safety and learning in the setting. 

As you can imagine, even though this is a leisure setting, we still have to make sure we adhere to industry rules and regulations, so completing paperwork will be an essential requirement of the role.

You’ll be someone who is naturally cheerful, friendly and approachable, and who works well in a team environment. Building relationships and trust with parents is just as important as being able to communicate with children.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) with Child List Barring Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

NVQ Level 2 / 3 in childcare or equivalent
Naturally outgoing and enthusiastic personality
To demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with both adults and children in groups of different sizes
Naturally cheerful

Desirable requirements:

Previous experience in childcare or a similar environment
Previous experience working within the customer service industry

ACTIVITY LEADER | £9.66 per hour

We are looking for a Children’s Activity Leader to join our dedicated team. This role provides a fun and rewarding opportunity to take an active role in helping our little guests to thoroughly enjoy the activities that we have to offer.

You will lead a variety of leisure activities, ensuring the highest standards are maintained to give the best possible experience to our guests. Whilst providing a high standard of childcare, you will also be responsible for providing a safe environment for all guests. With a wide range of children, family and adult activities available, you will be responsible for looking for opportunities to ensure the guests' requirements are always met and naturally seek out opportunities to exceed their expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a naturally outgoing and enthusiastic personality, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

The trepidation and excitement of Christmas is magical for all children. It’s a wonderful time of the year and at the heart of their experience is Santa. Every year he sees thousands of children and each time they leave with smiles on their faces.

From the moment you step into the red suit you’ll be totally focused on the job at hand, regaling stories from the North Pole and asking children about their Christmas list. Whatever question they ask, you’ll ensure that the magic is sprinkled and the anticipation of Christmas Eve heightened.

Your confident, kind and jolly nature will be backed by the ability to say “Ho, Ho, Ho” with plenty of enthusiasm. You will also need to be able to engage and build a rapport with people of all ages.

Experience of sign language would certainly add value to your application.
