If you are interested in learning and helping children learn how to learn, you will fit right in. We are looking for someone able to use their own initiative, to support teachers in their planning for lessons and in creating a safe and stimulating learning environment in the classroom. Excellent communication will be key in supporting pupils to progress, achieve and overcome any barriers to their learning. You will support all areas of learning in the classroom and will accompany trips and other off site activities and visits. A willingness to offer a lunchtime activity/club for children and to support breakfast club will be an advantage. At the end of the apprenticeship your nationally recognised ‘Supporting Teaching and Learning’ qualification, as well as valuable work experience, will provide you with the best chance of being offered a full time Teaching Assistant position.
Compliance with all necessary policies and procedures relating to child protection, safe and responsible personal behaviour online, online safety, equality, health and safety, confidentiality and Data Protection is essential and all concerns in any of these areas must be reported to an appropriate person.
Under Safer Recruitment Guidance successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check and Introduction to Safeguarding Training before commencing work in the school.
