12.34 hours per week (rota averages)
Fixed Term contracts until 31 March 2019

We are looking for outgoing people to work in Mile Cross library, a vibrant branch library in North Norwich serving a diverse community.

You will be an excellent communicator and you must be proficient at using IT. We aim to give an exceptional customer service so you must be able to demonstrate that you have recent experience of delivering quality customer service working in a face-to-face environment, serving customers of all ages and from the whole community. 

Main duties will include serving customers at the counter, assisting with self-service and printing enquiries, cash handling, merchandising of stock, some administrative duties and opening the branch including ensuring the health and safety requirements of the library are met. The role requires evening work, some lone working and this rota averages 12.34 hours per week.

The working patterns are as follows: -

Post 1
Week 1
Tuesday 1:45-7:30 
Wednesday 2:30-5:30
Friday 9:45-5:30

Week 2
Wednesday 2:30-5:30 
Friday 9:45-5:30 

Post 2
Week 1
Wednesday 9:45-5:30
Friday 2:30-5:30
Saturday 10:00-1:00

Week 2
Tuesday 1:45-7:30 
Wednesday 9:45-5:30

All part time staff are required to be flexible as you may be called upon to cover staff absences due to sickness and holiday.
