Description of the role: 
You can make an amazing difference at Samaritans helping to support people around the UK and Ireland when they are going through a difficult time in their life and need someone to talk to. Or perhaps you would like to help in advertising and marketing? We welcome and value every volunteer, from all walks of life. Whatever your interests, experience or skills, we will train, mentor and support you in whatever role you choose to do.

If you think this could be you and you want to find out more why not come along to one of our Events? You can meet and chat with other potential and trained volunteers, and find out what attributes are needed to join us. Light refreshments will be available and, if you wish, you may bring along a friend.

Details of mandatory training:
We will train you at our branch in Lowestoft, using standard training used across Samaritans. The initial training course is nine 3-hour modules – this takes place over several weeks.
