Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives on a daily basis, whilst learning an incredible amount? We need someone good with numbers, organised and friendly to join our team. Your role will be key in helping to keep the organisation running by maintaining admin systems including basic bookkeeping, emails, letters and calls. Find out more...

This role is key in the ongoing development of our organisation, we’re a small core team of 3 (You’ll make it 4) with 11 part time members of staff, altogether we provide support, information, training and activities that support people with Autism, ADHD or Mental Health. We do this in lots of different ways, which you’ll get to understand.

Your role will be a 60/40 split. You’re going to be responsible for basic bookkeeping, this is working with our accountant, keeping files organised, making sure that invoices get sent out when they’re required to, and making sure that they get paid on time too. Through these credit control activities the apprentice will ensure cash flow is maintained to help the organisation to remain sustainable. We use online software called QuickBooks for this, and we’ll provide you with the training to understand the software fully. The other portion of your role is to keep the office running, you’ll be supporting the team with admin, answering the phone, taking messages, emails and juggling your own workload.

We’re a small, tight-knit friendly team, ideal for someone that’s not too confident, we’re a very supporting group of people, we work flexibly and look after each other too. Our jobs allow us to work from home at times, and to change some of our hours to suit with home commitments, so just be open and honest about any commitments, we’re all human.

The work we do makes such a difference to peoples lives, and we’re really proud of it, and excited that you could help us work more efficiently so that we help even more people. You don’t need to be an Autism, ADHD or anything else expert, but you do need to be kind, compassionate and caring to fit in with us. A good sense of humour is a bonus!

Financial support will be given towards additional costs for AAT qualification.
