About

30th May 2025

Game Anglia, the not-for-profit growing the games industry in the East of England is partnering with The Bank in Eye, supported by the Progress Power Community Benefit Fund and the Babergh and Mid-Suffolk Council, to bring their leading narrative game-making programme to young people locally!

The 5-day intensive programme is free of charge and open to anyone who lives in or around the parishes of Eye, Yaxley, Mellis, Thrandeston, and Brome & Oakley aged 16 and over (with no upper age limit) who wants to learn how to tell their story by making a narrative interactive game!

Between 18-22 August at The Bank in Eye, game developers from throughout the region will be holding workshops helping the participants learn how to tell their stories, connect with the wider games industry of the UK and make their first game. No previous game development experience is necessary, as Game Anglia and their industry partners will be teaching everybody how to make a narrative game using bespoke kits which have been developed specifically for the ELEVATE programme. Participants can join for one or more of the days, as each day will have its own take-aways - while we would love to have participants join for the whole duration of the programme, that is not mandatory.

The programme is free-of-charge, taking place Monday 18th of August to Friday the 22nd of August from morning to the afternoon, with fully funded places for participants, lunch provided and a travel bursary of up to £25 per participant for the duration of the workshop.
