About the vacancy
ActivLives are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, relaibel and creative individual with the skills and experience they need to help develop ActivLives Branding, Marketing and Communications strand to support the team and enable us to support and reach more people in Suffolk.
Main responsibilities
To help develop ActivLives Marketing and Communications Strategy and explore new and exciting ways to improve our communication systems marketing publications and promotional material. This includes our website and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, local media etc;
- Maintain and develop ActivLives website, regularly promote good news stories on all social media sites and keep any external links to websites/databases up to date with relevant information in a timely manner
- Support the development of the marketing and Communications strategy tio improve access to ActivLives services website and social media platforms
- Design and produce a quarterly Newsletter to inform people of what we do and to promote up and coming events and activities
- Maintain the ActivLives "What's On" Timetable with up to date activities and design posters, leaflets and flyers. pop ups etc as and when required
- Design/make short films to promote services and activities
- Assist at events/showcase days as and when required
- Work closely with team leads to ensure photo's/video's etc are kept up to date for promotional material, website, case studies and reports etc
- Assist the CEO with the design of the Annual Report
- Provide support in the main office with miscellaneous tasks such as photocopying, answering the phone and IT issues
These responsibilities described give an outline of key duties and is not an exhaustive list. The postholder may be asked from time to time to undertake other duties as reasonable requested by the line manager.
Essential personal skills
Good Graphic Design Skills and knowledge of photo and design software eg. Photoshop
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and other relevant software
Good general practical IT skills
Good knowledge fo Social Media
Excellent written and communication skills in report writing and oral communication
Accurate typing and layout skills with attention to detail
Ability to work within a team by contributing ideas and beionmg receptive to new ideas
Ability to plan and schedule own work, prioritise and work to deadlines
Proven ability to be flexible and reliable to colleagues
Excellent interpersonal skills as the postholder will be required to work with a wide variety of people
Self motivated and able to take initiative
Tactful, adaptable, diplomatic and calm under pressure
Enthusiastic, with a sense of humour, commitmenand responsibility
Ability to answer the phone and inform people about activities
