A Merchant Apprentice is required for East Anglia's largest independent Builders Merchant. The candidate will learn all aspects of the business including Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Supply Chain Management. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading company. Please note a Full UK Driver's Licence is required for this role.

As an Apprentice you will receive in-depth on the job training which will lead to a nationally accredited qualification and the experience will open up many future opportunities for you.

The purpose of your role will be to develop both professionally and personally whilst learning how our business operates from every function including sales, customer service, operations and supply chain management.

Please note that a full UK driving license and your own transportation is essential as you will be required to work across multiple locations.

The Role

Your main responsibilities will include:
•To work in designated departments, branches or locations in accordance with your development plan
•Offer all customers both internal and external the highest levels of service in line with our company values
•Offer solutions to problems presented to you and seek guidance from your colleague’s when required
•Ensure we follow the correct processes and procedures to complete allocated tasks and maintain high levels of accuracy
•Comply fully with all health and safety policies and be proactive in ensuring a safe working environment
•Complete all required work and training related to your qualification within agreed timescales

Please note exact hours may vary slightly depending on which placement you are undertaking at the time. Occasional Saturday work may be required
