As part of our award-winning Teaching Museum programme we are offering 5 traineeships which may be a stepping-stone into the world of museums and heritage. The traineeships are 12-month fixed term contracts starting in April 2024 with a salary of £23,500. They combine a job with training delivered by museum professionals who are experts in their field. 

You are invited to apply for the programme rather than an individual role. The roles on offer this year are Curatorial (funded by the Newman bequest), Collections and Exhibitions, Communications and Marketing and Royal Norfolk Regimental Museum, Curatorial (Western area). You will be qualified to a minimum of level 2, higher qualifications are not a requirement. You will have experience of delivering excellent customer service in a public facing role. Museum experience is NOT required and there is no upper age limit. You will be supported to carry out the responsibilities of the post and you will leave at the end of the programme equipped with the skills, knowledge and experience to pursue a career in the museum sector.

Please answer them as fully as you can, writing to the limit of 1200 characters (between 200 and 300 words, including spaces) for each question. When we are scoring your application, we will use ONLY your answers to the questions and consider how well they meet the criteria in the person specification.
