About

8th February 2018

The museum was founded in the late 1980s by a group of dedicated volunteers and while we now benefit from the services of a well-experienced professional manager, it still relies on voluntary effort for its efficient operation.

Supporting the whole operation of the Museum, of course, is our precious band of volunteers. Apart from our Manager and our Education Officer, we’re all volunteers here, and most of us work around three hours per week on the entry desk / shop, or as gallery guides. There are other areas of work as well, of course, and a list of volunteers’ roles appears HERE. Please contact us at the Museum if you would like more information.
