We are currently seeking nursery practitioners to join our ever-expanding team.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. (Job share considered)
Salary: From £13,064.00 per year (negotiable depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate
Main description
Is glitter your favourite? Do you like to sing like you’re alone in the car and dance like nobody's watching?
Do you wake up in the morning with a desire to be a superhero, a princess or a talking mouse?
Good news! We’re hiring!
The perfect candidate must:
● Have four pairs of hands (or at least work like they do)
● Know all the classics - If you’re unfamiliar with Tiny Turtle, start practicing now!
● Become a dinosaur on demand
● Adore playdough and finger painting
● Be good with names including, but not limited to; the children, their siblings, pets, family members, second cousins twice removed and imaginary entourages
● Hand out high fives, hugs and occasionally biscuits.
● Be prepared to venture into public with glitter in your hair, paint down your jeans and a smudge that could be chalk but could also be far worse on your shirt.
About the role:
● Working to Early Years Foundation Stage standards on child learning
● Facilitating learning and development through a range of activities
● Reading stories and helping children learn number skills
● Helping children to learn new skills
● Promoting children’s independence and individuality
● Observe children's progress and keep records to share with parents
● Making sure children are safe and reporting any concerns
● Feeding and changing babies and supporting personal hygiene needs
● General cleaning of areas during shift and at shift end (when necessary)
● To work 40 hours a week between the hours of 7am - 6pm (8 hours a day on a rota basis).
Skills and qualifications
Essential:
● Must have a level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant childcare course
● A keen interest in child development
● Patience and Enthusiasm
● Imagination and Creativity
● Being able to work as part of a team
Desirable:
● Previous experience working as part of an Early Years team
