Church Hill Surgery is a small friendly rural practice in Pulham Market serving just under 4,500 patients. We have a busy dispensary and also provide a daily delivery service to patients who are unable to get to the surgery to collect their medication.
Main description
Church Hill Surgery is a small friendly rural practice in Pulham Market serving just under 4,500 patients. They are currently looking for a Pharmacy Services Assistant apprentice to join and learn within their team.
Main Duties include:
- Support with patient consultations
- Dispensing medicine
- General admin
- Dealing with over the counter and phone enquiries
- Use of the computer and the pharmacy specific software
- Checking off and unpacking orders
- Stock management
- Date checking of stock
- Processing NHS prescriptions
Entry requirements
Grade 4 or higher in GCSE English and Maths - Desirable.

Training to be Provided
The learner will be studying the Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to West Suffolk College.
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
Things to consider
The position involves long periods of standing, working on a compute and can involve lifting of heavy boxes.
Future Prospects
Full-time permanent role for the right person. Further potential for other training such as a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.
