Endeavour Transformations are a family business based on small to medium scale construction and landscaping projects. These include decking. patios. garden design. internal/external building projects involving stud wall construction, plaster boarding, bathroom and kitchen fitting and decorating. All involve working alongside other trades - electricians, plasterers, plumbers etc.
Main description
Endeavour Transformations are a family business based on small to medium scale construction and landscaping projects. These include a range of processes and techniques. They have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join the team.
The apprentice will be based from 8 Pirnhow Street and will need to be at this address by 8 am. Alternatively they should be able to drive themselves to site if preferred.
Duties will depend upon the current project but could be expected to include the following activities whilst working with company principals:
Stud wall construction and plaster boarding.
Kitchen unit removal and construction of new units.
Elementary plumbing.
Painting and decorating of walls/ ceilings/ woodwork.
Tiling and grouting of walls and floors.
External decking and pergola constructionshed/ summerhouse construction.
Roofing renovation - tiles/ flat roofs/ felt.
Preparation and laying of patios/ paths/ driveways.
Fence erection.
Lawn preparation and turf laying.
Client visits for estimates/ quotations.
This list is not exhaustive and depends on projects undertaken. Duration of projects may range from 1 day to several weeks and we may move back and forth across projects to accommodate clients and other trades.
Entry requirements
GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in maths and English, or equivalent, is desired.
Skills required
Ability to use basic tools would be beneficial but not essential as these will be instructed.
Most tasks require a level of physical fitness - eg carrying plasterboard/ timber/ wheelbarrowing/ turf laying
Able to communicate effectively.
Personal qualities
Essential:
Must be prepared to listen and follow instructions closely.
Time keeping is critical.
Clean and presentable appearance.
Desirable:
Ability to communicate with a range of people ( principals/ clients/ co-workers, other trades)
Although working under supervision there will be times when undertaking tasks alone so will need to be self-motivated.

Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship
Things to consider
The role will be varied depending on ongoing projects. There will be times when work will be outside e.g. decking/ landscaping where weather may be inclement E.g. rain, etc. This will be balanced by indoor projects E.g. decorating/ property remodelling. Work can often be dusty, muddy, cold, wet or hot.
Pay will rise from £5.25 to £5.50 per hour after 3 months if performance is satisfactory.
Future Prospects
New projects may well present opportunities in the business for a full time role on completion but this is not guaranteed.
