The Colman Centre for Specialist Rehabilitation (CCSRS) provides neuro-rehabilitation for patients with complex physical, cognitive and behavioural disabilities as a result of acquired brain injury.

We are looking to recruit a Rehabilitation Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. The role includes working directly with patients and their families, under the direction of a qualified therapist. You will be able to work independently and as part of the team across in-patients and the community. We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member who is willing both to take instruction and demonstrate their own initiative. The role includes non-clinical tasks which support the patient’s care and therapy needs, such as administration, stock control, and management of equipment.

Previous experience of working in a therapeutic or care setting is required alongside the ability to communicate effectively using the English Language in written and verbal forms. The needs of this patient group demands physical and mental resilience and a need to engage in manual handling activities and work with people with challenging behaviours.

Full training and regular support will be provided. This includes 1:1 supervision and attendance at multidisciplinary in house training sessions.

You will be required to follow a working pattern that will include some weekends to meet the needs of the service.
