Scouting offers challenge and adventure to over 6000 young people aged 6-25 in Suffolk alone. We believe in helping our members fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We're working to make Scouting available to all and we're passionate about what we do.
Newmarket Scouts 1st group are actively seeking new Scout and Beavers Leaders for the local group. Training will be provided Term time only
Were you an Explorer or in Scouting before you came to college and looking for somewhere in term time to volunteer as an adult leader? Or are you inspired by nature, the outdoors and helping others? If you would like to volunteer 1st Newmarket Scouts are keen to hear from you. Whether it is directly interacting with young people or helping behind the scenes with emails and maintaining electronic badge records - your help would be greatly appreciated
Volunteer for just four weeks
Week 1 - See what we are up to
Week 2 - Start to help out
Week 3 - Get a little more involved
Week 4 - You'll know if Scouting is for you
We will cover certified training for you to learn how to teach and deliver activities such as Archery, Watersports, Orienteering, Bushcraft, Air Rifle training and Emergency First Aid plus much more
