Main description
Our busiest season is just around the corner, and we’d love your help!
We’re recruiting Seasonal Team Members to support our Outdoor Plant and Bedding/Seasonal areas. Part time, 3 days per week; 2 weekdays and 1 alternating weekend day from March until the end of June 2026
You will be part of our Plant Area team assisting the team in stocking up, moving and maintaining plants and moving trolleys, helping with basic customer queries.
We are looking for motivated individuals who can follow instructions and communicate with customers. You will support our mission to offer a memorable garden centre experience, deliver wow customer service, and give employees, customers, suppliers, and the community a reason to smile.
Key duties
- Moving trolleys and stock from the glasshouses and stocking up plant displays
- Transferring and maintaining plants and moving promotional materials and displays
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the garden centre and stock areas, carrying out cleaning duties
- Assisting with the building of displays
- Support the current team with maintenance and stocking up of the plant areas.
Personal skills
- Good verbal communication and customer service skills, confidence in dealing with members of the public
- Able to follow instructions from your manager and work on your own initiative
- Able to lift, bend, carry or move plants and products and be on your feet all day
- Able to push/pull several trollies across a site throughout the day and in all weathers
Working rota
- You’ll need to work two weekdays and one alternating day each weekend – Saturday one weekend, Sunday the next.
- You will be required to wear gloves when handling certain crops and sturdy footwear (Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE)
- Some Plant knowledge is desirable, but not essential
- An interest in plants and gardening
Working with
- Reporting into the Plant Area Manager
- Working closely with rest of team and other departments
