Skills for Energy 2019

11th October 2019

Building on the huge success of last year’s event, ‘Skills for Energy 2018’, when more than 400 students and teachers connected with energy employers, we are pleased to confirm that our next event, Skills for Energy 2019, will take place on 27th November 2019 at the new Energy Skills Center, East Coast College Lowestoft Campus.

This event will be designed to feed the increasing appetite among young people to explore the full range of training and career opportunities in the energy industry and how to access them. It will provide a unique opportunity to talk directly to and inspire potential employees and showcase companies’ investment in young people and the future.

We can only achieve this with the support of the region’s employers and their commitment to take the free-of-charge exhibitor spaces and bring along interactive STEM-based activities, current apprentices and other employees who can talk to young people about their experiences.

Feedback from students and teachers from last year’s event was incredibly positive, so please help us to make this year’s event bigger, better and even more inspirational for our future workforce.

If you are an employer and you are interested in taking part in this exciting event please register your interest with Esmee Thornton via esmee.thornton@eeegr.com , 01493 412190.

If you are an education provider and you would like to participate by bringing students along to the event, or for further details regarding this event itself, please contact Marie Hoskins-Davies via marie.hoskinsdavies@eeeg.com  or 01493 412199. Assistance with travel costs associated with attending this event is available and will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

Work with us to inspire ambition and aspiration in the next generation of energy professionals
