The National Chimney Academy (NCA) opened in March 2011, the NCA, based at Specflue’s head office in Sudbury, has become the most comprehensive HETAS approved training facility in the UK. Our portfolio of installer and retailer solid fuel courses are taught by some of the best trainers in the industry. All of our solid fuel courses offer a combination of both theory and practical training.
Specflue’s Renewable Training Centre was officially opened by Lord Teverson (the Liberal Democrat MP for Energy and Climate Change) in May 2012 and is one of a only a handful of its kind in the UK. This modern facility, is part of Specflue’s passion to set and lead the way in producing the next generation of solid fuel and renewable heating installers and specialists.
All of our courses offer a combination of both theory and practical training. Specflue have invested heavily into this purpose built facility, with a passion to ensure installers receive the highest standard of training, facilities and delivery. We also continuously change the appliances in this centre to ensure that delegates always work with the most up to date technology.
In 2018 Specflue opened a new ‘Practical Enrichment’ in order to enable apprentices and those new to the trade to gain practical experience in installing flue and chimney systems. The centre houses three masonry chimneys and multiple twin wall systems connected to live appliances. There is also a scaffolding rig on the roof area.
Adding to their expansive course portfolio, in 2017 the centre became RLSS (royal life saving society) accredited and now offers a range of First Aid courses.
Specflue is one of the UK's leading suppliers of flue, chimney and renewable heat solutions; successfully supplying the UK market since 1992.
