Norfolk Environmental Action Team November 2025
It’s a chill wind that blows nobody any good, or so they say (or something like that anyway) but whatever the weather it’s great to be out in amongst nature: I heard kids’ TV Doctors Xand and Chris van Tulleken saying so on Radio 4, so it must be true! So get out and experience what they called a ‘thermal challenge’ this month (see What's Up Docs? - Doctors’ Notes: Nature - BBC Sounds if you don’t believe me)!
We certainly won’t be cold when there’s so many tasks to keep us active, with a big push on the alders at Flordon Common, one of the most important wetland sites in the UK, plus bonfires at another Site of Special Scientific Interest at East Ruston, and new tree planting schemes in Bluebell Woods (Eaton Park) and around Cringleford. There’s also a brand new site at Harleston, this is a really exciting new scheme to enhance a former field by improving what is already a biodiverse site with new trees, wildflower areas and much more.
So why not suggest that the people you are working with come and join the fun, as we do our bit for nature and people, all around the Fine City and beyond.
Best wishes,
Mark.
