Anglian Precision Ltd is a small, well established engineering company situated in the village of Kentford near Newmarket with manual & CNC machining, CAD and manufacturing capabilities, specialising in press tooling.
Main description
They currently looking for a Toolmaker Apprentice to join their team.
Main duties:
Manual machining using mills, lathes and precision surface grinders
Hand fitting and building of assemblies
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Workspace cleanliness
Using safe working practices
You will be working with a small team of toolmakers and designers making parts for many industries including; automotive, military, medical etc
Entry requirements
GCSE Maths and English at grades 4 or above desired.
Skills required
Communication skills
Attention to detail
Team working
Training to be Provided
The learner will be studying the Engineer Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to West Suffolk College.
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
Things to consider
Preferably is able to be able to work as part of a team and have their own way to be able to commute.
Future Prospects
The opportunity to secure a long-term place within the team upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
