We currently have an opportunity for a Trainee IT Support Engineer, working at our main factory in Stanton. The purpose of this role is to support the IT manager in the day-to-day activities on site and assisting in the introduction of innovative technologies and solutions.
Main description
Duties and responsibilities
- Be on-hand to offer advice and technical know-how
- Train colleagues in new systems
- Assisting with on-going projects
- General maintenance of the IT systems
- Fault finding in IT equipment
Entry Requirements
- Grades C or above in GCSE in Maths and English
- Some type of higher education/training/certification in an IT related subject or evidence of self-initiated learning in a relevant computing/networking/IT subject
- Own transport due to the location of our factory
- Excellent communication skills, as you will be expected to liaise with colleagues in all departments. This may include colleagues with limited technical experience
- A passion to learn and progress within the role
- The ability to follow instruction
