Just42 - Youth and Children’s Work Charity
This is an excellent opportunity to join Just42's staff team as a Youth Work Apprentice.
As a long established local charity we offer quality youth and children’s work within a Christian ethos. Just42 is committed to the importance of safeguarding and promoting children/young people’s welfare.
The Apprentice will be working alongside our team of experienced and qualified Youth Workers across our different youth projects. This will include working in our 4 rural youth clubs, schools work and also our mentoring project. Our clubs and projects offer a safe place for young people to meet their friends, our friendly team are there to lead those projects, provide fun activities and a listening ear for the young people. This is a fantastic opportunity to come and join us to make a difference to local young people!
For safeguarding purposes applicants need to be aged 18 years and over.
The hours will be 24 hours per week over 4 days and evenings, most of our clubs and projects run during term times only after school.
Some flexibility will be needed regarding the weekly schedule. This includes time for “off the job” learning.
The hourly rate will be £7 per hour, as a session worker certain terms will apply - this can be discussed at interview.
The Apprenticeship will take about 20 months to complete, you will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work. The successful candidate must be motivated to study alongside their work in our projects.
Due to the rural settings of our projects, access to transport to and from our office is essential.
