Working week
Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm. Lunch - 30 min (not paid). Total hours per week: 37.50

Desired qualifications
Level 2 Functional Skills in English & maths or GCSE (or equivalent) grade 4/C is preferable. If not, learners will be required to attend additional sessions.

Administration:

  • Setting up new clients internally and within our practice management software packages
  • Using IT packages and systems including MS Office to write letters and emails 
  • Answering phones to clients and external bodies
  • Following up on outstanding client matters
  • Updating and maintaining trackers and workplans
  • Scanning & filing documents
  • Setting up meetings and arranging with clients and suppliers
  • Assisting with general office day to day administration duties as directed by the office manager

Payroll:

  • Assist the payroll team with processing monthly clients payrolls
  • Processing of directors only payrolls
  • Assisting with payroll and pension administration projects

Business services:

  • Maintain records and files whilst handling confidential information in compliance with organisational procedures and data protection
  • Reviewing processes and providing suggestions for improvements, sharing administrative best practice across the organisation 
  • Managing work priorities and time to meet deadlines and complete tasks effectively, whilst managing expectations

Team:

  • Communicate effectively with others in the team
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in order to meet the objectives of the business
  • Contribute to team meetings and put forward ideas and feedback in order to improve ways of working

General:

  • Undertake any other tasks that may be reasonably requested
  • Implement the policies and procedures set out in the Employment Handbook
