A five-a-side football tournament organised by Jackson raised £1,600 for a children’s charity.

Jackson invited sub-contractors to enter a team and compete in the competition held at Ipswich Goals sports centre. A total of eight teams took part, each paying £200 to take part

The team from Highways Assurance lifted the trophy after beating Certas Energy on penalties in the final. Jackson’s team lifted the cup – a secondary competition for teams who picked up fewer points in the league stage of the competition.

The other teams to take part were Concertus, Poundfield, Toppesfield, Brett Aggregates and SRC Group.

The money raised will go to Bumblebee Children’s Charity, a specialist centre in Ipswich that works with families to support babies and young children with physical difficulties.

Jackson Estimator Michael King organised the event.

He said: “A big thank you to all the teams who took part – it was a hot day and there was some good football on display. The funds raised will go to a deserving charity that does incredible work in the community.”

The Estimating team at Jackson aims to add to the total in the coming months and have further fund-raising events planned including the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, raffles and sweepstakes.
