Main description
The Fastec Group have a role both CNC Turning & Milling, we work in a wide variety of industries including Motorsport, Oil & Gas, Aerospace & Military, Medical & Pharmaceutical, Architectural and many more manufacturing everying from tiny pins to parts for oil & gas lines under the ocean.
Every day is different, you will be hands on straight away learning how to load machines, how the programming works, removing parts and cleaning them up. You will be taught tooling and how to read drawings, working on both turning and milling to get the full knowledge base.
You will be learning on the job about a wide variety of materials from different metals to plastics, reading drawings and learning how to program, load, run and complete jobs on different machines manufacturing a wide variety of parts.
Training to be provided
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

All training offered is on the job and via Cambridge Regional College day release, but other opportunities may be available and can be investigated.
Entry Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in: English (grade 4 or C) and Maths (grade 4 or C)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
This is a fully working factory, it will involve handling different metals & materials and working with large machinery with coolants so it is not a 'clean' environment.

Career progression could go up to Workshop Manager with further qualifications possible
