Are you looking for a career in Engineering in a fast-paced stimulating and rewarding environment? We are currently recruiting Engineering Apprentice to join our Littleport team based on White House Road. At our Littleport operation we are growing and packaging huge volumes of Mushrooms as well as packing radish, all for UK retailers.

We are recruiting for individuals who have a genuine interest and passion for building a career in Engineering within the food manufacturing / farming industry. You will have the ability to work with our operational teams involving a wide variety of equipment and machinery to provide a wide range of experience and learning opportunities.
Breakdowns/Fault Finding
Promptly attend machinery breakdowns/malfunctions carrying out such work as necessary to ensure that machinery and equipment is adequately maintained.
Preventative Maintenance
Maintain a planned preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring such work is carried out as necessary to ensure that equipment and services are adequately maintained.
Work with a view to aid the site in maximising yields, quality, and profit, while minimising cost.
Equipment
Ensure all equipment is always in good safe working order, provisioning for timely servicing and repair.
Research, Innovation and Product Development
Opportunity to be involved in continuous identification of new product concepts, varieties and new systems/refinement in harvesting to meet the changing needs of our customers and establish a competitive advantage for the business.
Involvement in improvement projects, aiding in the design, manufacture, and validation of equipment.
Entry requirements
- Has a minimum of 4 GCSE’s including Maths & English 9-4 or equivalent
- Due to the nature of our operations, we require all applicants to be 18+ (or 18 by end August 2025)
Personal skills required
- Wants to be part of the future of Engineering
- Is a team player who can demonstrate the ability to problem-solve, adapt the way they work, and think logically in how they approach tasks.
- Can communicate with a range of people and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
