There is an opportunity for an apprentice administrator to join the team.

In this exciting new role, you will work within our Learning Resource Centre (LRC) assisting in the delivery of resource and eLearning services to the students and staff at One. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, as we will support you to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration, provided by West Suffolk College. 

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the wide range of administrative processes associated with resource provision in the LRC and eLearning.
Responding to routine enquiries and correspondence from staff, stakeholders and other organisations.
Assisting the management of LRC audio visual equipment maintenance including cameras, Dictaphones, eReaders, laptops, tablet computers and other resources as provided.
Assisting students and staff with the use of reprographic equipment, audio visual resources and computers.
Supporting the production of promotional and marketing materials for the service in all formats, especially social media and displays. This includes assisting with the organisation and staging of events and exhibitions.
Assisting with the production of teaching materials in all formats including digital, in print and on film.
Assisting with the cataloguing and issuing of resources using the computerised management system.

Entry requirements

Essential - Maths and English GCSE grade 4 (C) or above, or equivalent
Desirable - A-Levels or equivalent

Skills required

Good Literacy and Numeracy Skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Able to work effectively as member of a team, providing support to colleagues and demonstrating a flexible approach.
Understands staff and student needs, and has an awareness of good customer service.
Able to resolve straightforward problems.
Able to work accurately with precision.

Personal qualities

Professional and polite when dealing with staff and students.
A good methodical approach to work, hardworking and good time keeping.
Able to act on own initiative to identify and solve day to day problems.
Keen to learn and develop skills, knowledge and understanding.
Positive approach to training on new technologies.

Training to be Provided

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship

Things to consider

Commencing as soon as possible -£4.30 per hour -Full Time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) -Fixed Term Contract for duration of apprenticeship
