The Foundation:
Following the acquisition of Ipswich Town in April 2021, there has been major investment throughout the Club and the Foundation under the new Management Team. Both the Club and Foundation are at the start of an exciting journey to return Ipswich Town to its former glories, and your involvement in this apprenticeship will pay a part in the overall success.
The Ipswich Town Foundation was set up to deliver an innovative range of football and sporting activities, to engage, inspire and develop as many people as possible. We represent Ipswich Town Football Club within the local and surrounding communities, acting as an extension of the club to engage with local people and make a genuine impact on their lives.
Main description
Ipswich Town Foundation are seeking six apprentices to join the Level 4 Sports Coach course.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Foundation working and learning in the football environment. There are opportunities to focus your learning in one of the following areas working with SCL Education offering the L4 Sports Coach apprenticeship; High Performing, Community Open Access, or Schools Sports Coach (further details can be found in the Job description).
Skills and Requirements:
Confident clear communicator with an upbeat manner whom possess excellent communication skills alongside the ability to develop strong working relationships.
• Level 3 Qualification in education (E)
• Previous experience in a sporting environment (E)
• FA Playmaker (E)
• Level 1 Sports Coaching qualification. (D)
• Have a fun and energetic nature. (E)
• Be an inspirational individual who can bring creativeness to Ipswich Town Foundation
• Be reliable and passionate over everything else as there will be interaction with many different people both internally and in the programmes and schools, you work in.
• Be able to relate to and engage with children between the ages of 4-18.
• Enjoy building strong relationships with parents and Headteachers.
• Undertake an enhanced DBS Check with barred list
