Main description

Based at our Newmarket facility we are offering an exciting Level 2 Apprenticeship programme working and learning as a Manufacturing Operative Apprentice This role offers a rewarding career, but it also has a clear path for progression and development, which means a bright future awaits.

As an Manufacturing Operative Apprentice, you will be:

Carrying out your work safely and meet the exacting quality standards demanded in a fast paced and efficient processing environment and develop into a multi-skilled operator through process ownership.  
Carrying out manufacturing activities on multiple products with different specifications consecutively turing.
Preparing, controlling, contributing to and completing manufacturing operations, and follow manufacturing processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) whilst adhering to specific safe working policies & procedures.
Responsible for maintaining Health and Safety requirements at all times.
Contributing, developing and supporting improvement in the manufacturing operation using continuous improvement methods, kaizen tools, process visualisation using lean principles and problem solving tools and techniques.
Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing operations to ensure quality is built in and that any defects or concerns are highlighted and dealt with in line with relevant quality standards (ISO 9002).
You will work closely with stakeholders and will have clear reporting lines to ensure appropriate escalation.

Entry requirements

GCSE or equivalent English and maths (Grade 4) Desired

Desired skills and personal qualities

Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Progressive, Responsible, Honest
