Main description

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our Quality team as a Trainee QA/QC Engineer.

No previous experience is required — what matters most is the right aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

You’ll receive full training in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Metrology, supporting production in both the medical device and automotive industries. This is an excellent opportunity to start a technical career in a highly regulated, precision-driven environment.

What You’ll Learn

  • Fundamentals of QA/QC processes and documentation
  • Application of ISO 13485 (medical devices) and IATF 16949 (automotive) standards
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and controlled documents
  • Inspection and measurement techniques, including:
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation and programming
  • CT scanning and dimensional data interpretation
  • Use of conventional measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methods
  • Supporting internal audit and risk assessments

Entry requirements

Essential:

Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4 / C or equivalent)
Must be 18 years or older (due to equipment and safety requirements)

Desirable:

  • Relevant vocational or technical qualification (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing)
  • Valid driving licence

Personal skills 

Essential:

Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
Ability to follow written instructions and record data accurately

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and record information accurately
  • Basic GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Logical, methodical approach and enthusiasm for problem-solving
  • Reliable, proactive, and keen to learn technical skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take direction

Desirable:

  • Interest in engineering, manufacturing, or technology
  • Basic understanding of quality principles or production processes
  • Previous hands-on or technical experience (educational or work-based)
  • Awareness of measuring instruments or technical drawings
  • Understanding of metrology, inspection, or engineering basics
