Account Managers are the first point of call for customers and suppliers, their responsibilities include maintaining relationships between their suppliers and the customers who will be buying the finished project. The account manager will ensure that all of their clients are satisfied; they will answer any queries and provide information about orders to the retailers who are buying their clothes as well as progress orders that have already been placed.
The focus in this job is on communication skills, as well as customer service. Therefore good GCSE's in English and Maths will be looked at. Other than this, there are few other barriers to enter this Job Role. Qualifications in Customer Service will really set you out from the crowd, as well as previous experience in sales or as a Wholesale Merchandiser. Interviewers will have a very close eye on how you present yourself both in person at interview as well as in written material, so make sure your language, grammar and spelling is up to scratch!
