A career as a Farm Business Administrator

"Farm secretary, agricultural business administrator, rural business administrator: whatever the label it’s a fantastic job. With the ever-changing dynamics of agriculture, the need for trained and experienced farm administrators has never been greater. In this film six agri-professionals explain their varied and interesting roles in farm offices in East Anglia and the benefits of belonging to IAgSA (Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators). A background in farming is not essential; IAgSA’s training programme covers agricultural data analysis in detail, but a recognised book-keeping qualification such as AAT or ICB is recommended. Many farm administrators are freelancers benefiting from flexibility, regular hours and diversity. It can also be well paid for qualified and experienced practitioners. The Chadacre Agricultural Trust, Felix Cobbold Trust and IAgSA Norfolk Branch funded this film. It was made by Green Shoots."
