What you will do in your working day
Following the L2 Lean Manufacturing Operative curriculum linked to operating manufacturing machines the apprentice will:
Work with an experienced engineer converting flexible material into medical dressings to meet customer orders
Interact daily with our ERP system to capture key information including hours worked, material consumed
Carry out basic machine maintenance tasks as part of PolarSeal’s quality and H&S requirements
The training you will be getting
Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 qualification.
The training will be conducted at PolarSeal’s manufacturing site in Saxmundham.
The training is 5 days a week, Monday to Friday with some release tied to the apprenticeship curriculum.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Once an apprentice qualifies, they will take on the full responsibilities of a Web Process Engineer. Further progression is available based on merit where Web Process Engineers can promote to Lead Operator positions ahead of being considered further for Supervisor and Manager roles.
