We are seeking a Chef, ideally with 1 year’s experience, to join the team based in our community owned pub in Upton, Norfolk. The team is responsible for high-quality food production, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the development of menus and seasonal specials for our village community and visitors alike.
Duties:
- Undertake all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and provide guidance and training as needed
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and specials
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality
Requirements:
- Ideally you will have proven experience in food production and kitchen management in a pub restaurant setting but some experience with a passion and willingness to learn are just as important
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively
- Creative flair and passion for culinary arts
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Type: Flexible working hours (zero hours contract) – we are open 7 days a week over the summer with lunchtime and evening food service on each day.
Pay: Up to £12.50 per hour
