What you will do in your working day
In order to strengthen and enhance our team we require a person who can assist in the production of various types of high-quality models, including presentation models, architectural models, concept models, process models as well as product design and prototyping.
The production of scaled models using a variety of drawing types
Working with a variety of materials using varying workshop machinery
Working efficiently towards project deadlines
Working as part of team in order to achieve project goals
The training you will be getting
Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2
Functional Skills in maths and English Level 2 if required

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent D&T (Grade C/4) Essential
GCSE or equivalent English (Grade Level 2/C/4) Desired
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade Level 2/C/4) Desired
Things to consider
Knowledge of 2D CAD, Adobe Illustrator is desirable but not essential. Experience with using workshop machinery such as circular saw, band saw, pillar drill, disc sanders and hand tools. experience working with laser cutting, CNC routing and 3d printing would be an advantage. Ability to read and interpret drawings is essential. You will sometimes be required to work away and possibly unsociable hours if completing a project installation. We would start off training the successful candidate to use the graphical programs and perform laser cutting tasks. We would then expect the candidate to learn/refine other relevant skills as required to support the production of other types of models and creative projects.
