East Norfolk Sixth Form College is the outstanding choice for over 1500 students because of its 36-year reputation for success and is the Ofsted ‘Good’ college for Greater Yarmouth and Waveney.
The College offers an unrivalled curriculum with over 80 A Level, BTEC Level 3 and Level 2 subjects and consistently features among the Top UK colleges. This year the College boasts a 99% A Level pass rate, 75% pass rate at A*-C grades and 45% pass rate at A*-B grades. With a 100% pass rate in 30 subjects, students really do achieve at the very highest level.
EN is the top college locally for progression. 56% of students that progress to Russell Group universities achieve a First-Class degree, over 20% higher than the national average for State and Independent sectors. 10 students received offers at Oxford and Cambridge for 2019, a record-breaking number for EN and all six students who applied for Medicine have been offered places at their chosen universities. But we are not just about students progressing to university, more than 25% progress directly to employment and more than 10% go on to apprenticeships.
Students with aspirations to be professional footballers or pursue a career in sport have a unique opportunity too as EN is the only college locally with the prestigious Norwich City Community Sports Foundation Elite Football and Elite Xtra programmes for men and women. The College is also one of only 25 FA Super Hubs, placing EN at the forefront of sporting innovation and excellence. EN is also home to the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), the only one in the local area and is an approved centre for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
Students choose EN because of the freedom and independence that a Sixth Form College experience offers. Located in the very heart of the Gorleston community, students are just a short walk away from the high street with its mix of shops, cinema, library and gorgeous beach. Likened to a mini-university campus, the college continues to grow, with state-of-the-art buildings and outstanding facilities to support students on their route to success.
All of our students are encouraged from the moment they start at EN to see themselves as achieving at the highest level. We stretch and challenge them to aspire to be the very best so that when they leave, they have excellent results and have developed a range of skills to help them to be more rounded individuals. Students can combine their Level 3 courses, both A-Level and BTEC’s to build a programme that suits their aspirations. They can also study up to 4 subjects depending upon their achievements at GCSE level.
Don’t just take our word for it though. Come and visit us on one of our Open Days or Information Evenings. We will be delighted to highlight everything that EN has to offer and hopefully inspire students to choose the College for an outstanding future.
