About Galloper Wind Farm Ltd
Galloper Offshore Wind Farm is a 353MW wind farm project, located 30km off the coast of Suffolk.
Now in full operation, the wind farm's 56 turbines will each year generate enough green electricity to power the equivalent of more than 380,000 British homes. A 60-strong team operates and maintains the wind farm day-to-day from a temporary facility in Harwich International Port. A new state-of-the-art base is now under construction next to the existing facilities.
Galloper is owned by innogy SE (25%), Siemens Financial Services (25%), Sumitomo Corporation (12.5%), ESB (12.5%) and a consortium managed by Green Investment Group and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (25%). innogy SE led the development and construction of Galloper Offshore Wind Farm and operates the wind farm on behalf of the project partners.
The project created around 700 jobs during the construction phase and now it is operational, around 90 long-term direct and indirect jobs have been created.
