Muntons are a family owned business with its headquarters based in Stowmarket Suffolk. We buy cereals from the areas local to our two maltings and by growing this under carefully controlled conditions, turn this into a wide range of malt and malted ingredients, products used extensively in the brewing, distilling and food industries. Muntons employ just over 300 people with the majority based in Stowmarket, however, we also have a manufacturing plant in Bridlington, Yorkshire, have formed a company in the USA, have offices in Singapore and a New Product Development facility in Thailand. We are currently building a manufacturing plant in Thailand to better serve the Asian market.
The Stowmarket site, as Head Office function, offers a wide range of employment opportunities. We employ people who have skills in finance, IT, purchasing, engineering, sales and marketing, audit, health & safety management, customer service, warehouse operations, production operators as well as planning, quality control and site services management.
We advertise all our vacancies on our website where it is possible to sign up to register an interest in becoming an employee of Muntons or to receive job alerts.
We want to employ good local talent and to be recognised in the local community as an employer who can offer the beginning of a long and successful career to a young school leaver. Apprenticeships offer a practical alternative to university and a route into a career. As such we regularly offer engineering apprenticeships in conjunction with the West Suffolk College.
When we are interviewing people we look for people who work with passion and pride. We want employees who are strong proactive communicators who are driven to succeed.
Earlier this year Muntons were winners of the Environment and Sustainability category at the East Anglian Daily Times business awards held in July 2018 and picked up the Weetabix Responsible Business award for the second year running. Just some of the many awards that Muntons have collected over the past few years. As a company Muntons believe in the importance of the local community, regularly taking part in Schools farm fairs, Inspiration days, and mock interview events at a number of local schools.
