Everyone who joins the company will have access to the Carter Academy which provides a wide range of quality training for our staff from NVQ’s to degree level courses.
At the Carter Academy, we deliver craft apprenticeship training. With high quality training from the onset, supported on site by experienced personnel, your career will get off to a flying start. Our innovated training programme ensures that you are taught all the essential elements of the apprenticeship programme, with additional practical skills included.
Trainee Construction Professionals
Successful trainees initially join our business spending time in each department, training in roles like Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Contract/Project Management and Site Management. This allows you to gain experience in different roles and environments, giving you the opportunity to understand our business and giving us the opportunity to recognise your strengths.
We will support you throughout your development with experienced and professional personnel. There is the possibility that we will sponsor you to enrol at a local nominated college/ university to undertake a Further Education or Higher Education course suited to your professional route of development. The ultimate goal of which will be to receive the relevant degree and achieve membership of a professional body such as CIOB or RICS.
Those who have already completed a degree can enter the business as a trainee, and gain experience in different roles across the business, undertaking in-house training to facilitate your development and learning within the workplace to support your academic studies already completed. Further development might be offered to you, for example, the possibility of post graduate qualifications.
