The Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm is operated by Equinor and owned by Equinor, Equitix and the Green Investment Group through Scira Offshore Energy Limited.
The wind farm, which contains 88 wind turbines, is located on a 35km2 site 9-17 miles off the coast of Norfolk. Each year it generates sufficient clean, renewable energy to power 220,000 UK homes.
The operation and latest maintenance of an offshore wind farm requires many different skills and competences, and consequently a variety of different and rewarding jobs are available to people prepared to study for their qualifications and work hard as part of a team.
Currently there are 82 people working from Wind Farm Place, which is the Sheringham Shoal's operation and maintenance base at Wells-next-the-Sea in North Norfolk.
