About us

We are a home care agency who deliver the highest quality, reliable, person centred, Care Services in East Bergholt, Capel St Mary, Hadleigh and surrounding areas, Dedham and Manningtree.

Our Support Workers and Management Team provide the best home care services and cater to the specific needs of each client. We bring high quality care right to their front doors so that they can remain in their own homes with the right support in an environment that is comfortable and familiar to them.

We support independence, choice and respect our clients rights to live life the way they choose. We provide support which is flexible to individual needs at times which suit them from companion care all the way to personal care. 

Our homecare services

Home care is really as simple as it sounds. It’s care, but in the comfort of a client's own home. Home care services enable them to continue living independently whilst receiving the care that they need. Our home care services aren’t just limited to helping with mobility or personal care. We also can be there just to offer some company with a cup of tea and a chat. We understand that loneliness is a large problem in the UK and that’s why we offer a service to come to client's home and do the things that they enjoy - even if it is just a chatter!

Companion Care
We strongly believe that no one should feel loneliness or isolation, we aim to prevent this by providing a tailored companionship service for clients and their families.

Enablement
Enablement can help clients or family members to do more at home, by learning or re-learning skills that make them feel safe and happy in their own home.

Reablement
We Simply Care can assist people to continue to live as they wish, promoting and maximising independence and wellbeing within their own family members' homes.

Personal Care
Whether it is helping with personal hygiene, or keeping well and active, we have every element of living a fulfilled life covered.

Nutrition & Hydration
Having a healthy, nutritious and delicious meal is so important for both mental and physical wellbeing. We can prepare meals to ensure both hydration and a maintained healthy, balanced diet.

Medication Assistance
Medication can be challenging to manage, We Simply Care is here to take the stress out of medication management and organising prescriptions. 

Cleaning
We can carry out housekeeping tasks according to client's or family member's preferences and requirements, ensuring everyone is in control of the services we provide.

Shopping
Designed to suit client's or family member's needs, our shopping service can ensure that the people we care for enjoy the process of planning, buying and cooking regular, healthy meals.

End Of Life Care
Our main goal for all involved is to ensure our clients are made to feel as comfortable and dignified as possible during the latter stages of life.

Nothing is too much of a challenge for our team at We Simply Care. From reablement to end of life care, we will do out absolute best to support the individual involved as well as surrounding family and friends.

When we first meet our clients, some lack confidence in themselves which has worsened the issues they are now experiencing. Whilst the majority of mobility issues require strength training or physiotherapy, it can also be a case of building confidence to make these things happen. Our team are trained in how to help clients feel more confident in the actions they take and to allow them to regain independence.

CARE SPECIALIST ROLE SPECIFICATION

Care Specialists support people with all aspects of their day to day living, including social and physical activities, personal care, mobility, and mealtimes.

Care Specialists work in people’s own homes or in the community. Carers who work in the community are sometimes called domiciliary carers which often involves travelling to different people’s houses.

Our team members are titled Care Specialists as they specialise in specific relevant subjects such as, Dementia, End of Life or Infection Prevention and Control. Care Specialists complete a lot of training as an on-going process to develop themselves.

Care Specialists provide additional help such as supporting to learn life skills, such as cooking or providing emotional support and befriending.

Care Specialists work with lots of different people including adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health conditions and older people.

The role includes:

  • supporting people with social and physical activities
  • booking and going with people to appointments
  • helping with personal care such as support with showering and dressing
  • supporting people with eating and drinking
  • monitoring individuals’ conditions by taking their temperature and helping with medication.

There are also some specific skills needed to work in this role. These include:

  • the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload.
  • good listening and communication skills
  • the ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
  • good writing skills to fill in care plans and other records

Everyone working in social care needs English, number, digital and employability skills including teamwork and problem-solving skills.
