Our Story
Your Own Place is a CIC working with young people aged 16-25 to develop their independent living skills and prevent homelessness.
We work tirelessly with local and national partners to bring about the most innovative as well as cost-effective solutions to youth homelessness. Your Own Place was started by Rebecca White in 2013. From a secondary teaching background, Rebecca is passionate about young people getting the best support they deserve. She set about finding innovative and creative solutions to preventing youth homelessness that maximize the impact they have on wider society. Borne of this belief, Your Own Place was incorporated as a Community Interest Company in October 2013.

Our values
Our values start with seeing every young person as an individual. All young people have aspirations. Our task is to liberate them, remove the barriers and allow their aspirations to be achieved. We will be as innovative, imaginative and engaging as we can be. We will never give up on seeking new solutions to old problems. The aim of Your Own Place is to prevent homelessness and every intervention is delivered with this as the final outcome.
