Cranswick Fresh Poultry opened in Eye, Suffolk in November 2019 and is well placed is East Anglia, the heartland of British chicken production.

We are proud of our state-of-the-art site, which has the very latest technology and is the most advanced in Europe with the fastest processing lines. Each year we continue to invest in new equipment, expanding our capabilities and offering career development for our Cranswick family of over 1100 employees.

Our fresh chicken business is fully integrated with complete control of the milling, breeding, hatching and rearing stages, ensuring full traceability from farm to fork.

Our people work in a variety of roles within the site - from Engineers working alongside our Operations Managers to QAs, Machine Operatives and General Operatives and finishing with the Office Staff who ensure the support functions are being delivered in a smooth and professional manner.

We focus on finding hidden talents and open our doors to future stars by offering the Engineering Apprentice Scheme. The apprenticeship is a hands-on, work-based route into your chosen career.

Due to our advanced technology, the innovations in engineering offer significant development for future generations. We partner with West Suffolk College to deliver the apprenticeship scheme and during the 4 year programme, you will be guided by a tutor. While learning, you will practice and apply skills learnt at college in the context of the job.
