Starting your career

A great place to start your career. If you are a school or college leaver or a university graduate, we offer a range of opportunities

Accountancy Apprenticeships

We offer apprenticeships across our accountancy, tax and audit functions as well as payroll and support apprenticeships too. An apprenticeship in accountancy or tax is an excellent alternative to going to university, you will start learning the theory and technical skills required to become an accountant whilst studying for either the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). You’ll find all the information you need by visiting our apprenticeships page.

Graduates

We understand the value of the skills gained at university and we offer graduate trainee positions across some of our offices each year. You will study to sit the exams to qualify as a Chartered Accountant whilst gaining extensive whilst gaining extensive on the job training too. Everything you need to know about joining us as a graduate is available on our graduates page.

Support Apprenticeships

The service we provide to clients is not possible without our support functions such as secretarial and office support, HR, IT, marketing and the firm’s internal accounting team. When the opportunity arises we also offer apprenticeships in some of our support functions, especially when we are looking to recruit at an entry level.

Work Experience

Placements last for one week at a time and are organised centrally by our HR team.

Undertaking a work experience placement with us means you will gain a valuable insight into what it is like to be a trainee accountant at Lovewell Blake as well as further understand the industry, what services we offer and how we provide them to our clients.

How to apply

You will need to send your CV (tips on how to write a CV) and a covering email to Kirsty Le Grice on careers@lovewell-blake.co.uk

Your covering email needs to state what offices you can attend and the dates you are available (the more dates and locations you list the more flexibility there is in successfully allocating you a space). You also need to explain why you want to do work experience with us.
